George Barber’s Dino
George Barber’s 1972 Ferrari Dino 246 GT
George Barber Jr. reshaped the cultural landscape of Birmingham by elevating motorsports from a niche interest into a unifying element of the region through the creation of the Barber Motorsports Park and the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum.
By building the world’s largest motorcycle collection and developing a world-class racing venue, he helped establish Birmingham as an international destination for motorsports enthusiasts. His efforts not only preserved automotive and motorcycle history but also foster a vibrant community centered on racing, vintage vehicle appreciation, and engineering excellence.
This painting, created following his passing in early 2026, depicts one of Barber’s favored personal vehicles. Produced live on-site during the 2026 IndyCar event, the work serves as a tribute to his enduring influence and vision.
